Aspen 3 ton 36,000 BTU 14" width D-3 Row Cased Aluminum Multi-position Coil DE36D3D140R530
Aspen 3 ton 36,000 BTU 14" width D-3 Row Cased Aluminum Multi-position Coil DE36D3D140R530
Product Description:
The Aspen DE36D3D140R530 is a 3-ton (36,000 BTU/hr) cased multi-position aluminum (D Series) VersaCoil (E) evaporator coil designed for versatile upflow, downflow, and horizontal HVAC applications. Built on a 3-row "D" face area coil configuration (D3), it features a Non-Bleed R32 TXV metering device (D), making it A2L refrigerant ready (R32 and R454B) when paired with a Refrigerant Detection System (RDS), while also supporting R22 and R410A systems (ETL listed for both). The unit is housed in a fully insulated cabinet with a 14.0" width (140), with right-hand refrigerant and plumbing connections (R) and a 3/4" ODS suction line suited for 1.5-3 ton applications. Configured per option code 530, it ships standard in upflow orientation — downflow installation requires a separately sold field-installed downflow kit. It is ETL listed, AHRI certifiable with all major A/C and heat pump brands, and backed by a ten-year limited warranty with registration.
Product Features:
- Upflow/Downflow Versatility: Configured for standard upflow without field modification. Downflow applications require a separately sold field-installed downflow kit (metal pan: DWNFLWM-16 or DWNFLWM-18; plastic pan: DWNFLWP).
- Multi-Brand Compatibility: AHRI certifiable with virtually all A/C and heat pump system brands for flexible system pairing.
- Refrigerant Listings: ETL listed for R22 and R410A. Compatible with A2L refrigerants R454B and R32 when installed alongside a Refrigerant Detection System (RDS), which is mandatory for A2L compliance.
- Coil Construction: Built with rifled aluminum tubing and enhanced aluminum fins to maximize heat transfer efficiency and extend service life.
- Drain Pan: Equipped with a heavy-duty plastic drain pan as standard. For oil furnace or other high-temperature applications where outlet temperatures may exceed 290°F ± 5°F, a metal drain pan is strongly recommended.
- Insulated Cabinet: Fully insulated with foil-faced insulation for optimal thermal efficiency and energy performance.
- Easy Service Access: Split access doors located on the front of the cabinet allow for straightforward coil servicing and maintenance.
- Advanced Leak Testing: Multi-stage leak tested at 500 psi pressure decay, mass spectrometer tested with helium, then nitrogen pressurized and factory sealed to ensure optimal system integrity and long-term reliability.
- Pressure Assurance: Includes a Schrader valve for on-site pressure assurance testing during installation.
- Connection Orientation: Right-hand refrigerant and plumbing connections; left or right-hand configurations available.
- Connection Sizes: Liquid line 3/8" ODS; suction line 3/4" ODS (1.5-3 ton) or 7/8" ODS (3.5-5 ton); condensate drain 3/4" NPT.
- Customization Options: Factory or field-installed TXV available; painted cabinet, high-temperature plastic drain pan, metal drain pan, and factory-installed RDS kit also available.
- Warranty: Covered by a ten-year limited warranty upon product registration.
